ChromaTape Origins:

ChromaTape originally came about in the spring of 2024 after a conversation in a car with a friend about the lacking rawness and uniqueness within the modern music industry.

Brainstorming on what could be done, the two came up with a concept for a studio that utilized Analog Tape and older Analog equipment to capture a live/raw sound and digital recording techniques for post production and distribution.

Video was also a key factor in the concept of ChromaTape. Utilizing VHS and Hi-8 Tape for video, the artist's performance would be recorded along with the audio and synced together in post. The raw and memory like video paired with the unique and honest audio would come together into an experience that perfectly exemplifies the mission of Chromatape and provides the artist with a record and a visual that'll stand out amoungst the oversaturated music industry.
